Evoke
Another very interesting commission. I wasn't sure if I was up to the challenge of this one, and I also foolishly decided to try out some new techniques at the same time... but he seems to have come out alright.

Not watercolour this time, but acrylic. I've always had trouble with acrylic, because its not very easy to use on resin. But after having a conversation with my good friend
rainonthebrain about her airbrush, she suggest acrylic thinner. Ann my dear, when you get back from America I must tell you how much of a genius you are.For those who have never used acrylic thinner before, get ye to your nearest art shop. My god, that stuff is magic - it gives the paint the easy use of watercolour, without losing any of its vibrancy. It adds a quality to the face-up that I never realized was lacking in mine. I cannot WAIT to get an airbrush to try it out on.
Speaking of which, the Souldoll body I was using for funds has kind of... well. I'm trading him for a MNF Shushu. >: there goes my airbrush funds.
